Busy Bees opens third location at Fairfax Corner

After years of success at its Falls Church and Chevy Chase locations, Busy Bees is adding another city to its list.

Business owner Natalia Arbelaez decided to launch a new play space for tots right in the heart of Fairfax Corner. The new store, Busy Bees Fairfax, opened to the public on Feb. 23.

Despite many roadblocks, Arbelaez, a mom of two young girls, pursued her dreams and built her business from scratch. She describes herself as a “very stubborn person who does not take no for an answer.”

She hopes that her perseverance empowers her daughters who she calls her “youngest business partners and product testers.”

Owning an indoor playground in Fairfax was on Arbelaez’s wish list for quite some time. Even with its sizeable population, “Fairfax has little to offer in terms of indoor play areas for little ones,” Arbelaez says.

Plus, she wanted to ensure that a third Busy Bees location could offer parents a full-day experience, not just act as a stand-alone playground without other amenities in sight.

“With Fairfax Corner, our puzzle is complete!” Arbelaez exclaims, “We are over the moon to be opening at such an awesome place surrounded by so many wonderful neighbors.”

The new Busy Bees Fairfax has more equipment than the other locations and includes fun opportunities for young kids to climb, swing and jump in a safe environment.

Busy Bees also prides itself on using only natural cleaning products, free from harsh chemical residues.

Besides being a place for open play, Busy Bees Fairfax offers two party rooms dedicated to signature, custom birthday parties.

“We will continue to be the cleanest, most fun and safest space for kids to play indoors,” Arbelaez says, “And we will continue with our promise of keeping it just for our littlest audience (kids under 48 inches.)” // Busy Bees Fairfax: 4211 Fairfax Corner E. Ave., Suite 220; $18 per child, $15 per sibling, $75 pass for five admissions (does not expire)
