Have your kids outgrown the slides and monkey bars at local playgrounds? In that case, upgrade their weekend play sessions at one of the NoVA obstacle courses. Here are the four parks where your kids can live out their Ninja Warrior dreams.

John Lee Pratt Memorial Park

NoVA’s newest agility course recently opened in Fredericksburg and features everything you would expect in a “ninja” course, including monkey bars, a warped wall, and ninja steps. The venue is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 25 at 11:30 a.m. 120 River Rd., Fredericksburg

Locust Shade Park

This Prince William County park’s Warrior Challenge Course was created in partnership with the Department of Defense to create an experience that would give Marines, their families, and residents the ability to test their ninja skills. The 20,000-square-foot park features floating boards and a warped wall. Plus, you can find a mini version for your little ones. 4701 Locust Shade Dr., Triangle

Monticello Park Challenge Course

Find ninja thrills when you visit this Burke park. This course features 11 obstacles intended for ages 13 and older. Race the timer to see how fast you can make it through the ninja steps, agility trainer and vault wall. 5315 Guinea Rd., Burke

Rockwater Park

If you find yourself beyond the limits of Northern Virginia, stop for a play break at Culpeper’s Rockwater Park. This park is fitted with a Fitcore Extreme Obstacle course, which is stacked with all of your favorite ninja challenges. The park also has 1.7 miles of hiking trails and a refreshing splash pad for those hot summer days. 421 Madison Rd., Culpeper
