Paint Class at Wine & Design

February 15, 12:30 p.m.

If you’re looking for a creative afternoon out with your child, visit Wine & Design for a family-friendly Art Buzz Kids Public Class. Kids can paint themselves as the president at this class, which is recommended for children 5 or older. 1607 Village Market Blvd. SE #118, Leesburg, $30

National Portrait Gallery’s Presidential Family Fun Day

February 15, 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

The Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery is hosting a Presidents Day event with programming for all ages. There will be a stovepipe hat making workshop, story time, writing activities, and more. While at the Portrait Gallery, guests can tour the museum’s permanent exhibit “America’s Presidents,” which now includes the recent addition of a photo of President Biden. 8^th and G Streets NW, DC, free, but registration is encouraged

2025 George Washington Birthday Parade

February 15, 2-4 p.m.

Celebrate your patriotism with a parade in Old Town Alexandria celebrating our nation’s first president. Free Admission at Mount Vernon

February 17, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Presidents Day weekend wouldn’t be complete without taking the family to Mount Vernon. The site is celebrating with free admission on February 17 in honor of George Washington’s 293^rd birthday. School Holidays with Rocknoceros: Presidents Day Concert

February 17, 11 a.m.

Presidents Day Kids and Family Festival

February 17, 12-6 p.m.
