6 in-person activities your kids will love to attend this weekend

Celebrate the end of the workweek with some quality time out of the house with the family.

After a busy week at work and school, your family deserves a much needed day out of the house. From a spring campfire to a family hike, your kids are sure to love attending one of these six in-person activities.

Peter and the Wolf & More

Friday-Sunday, times vary
Head back to the theater for a special performance by the Manassas Ballet. Join the cast as Peter and his friends embark on a spring adventure through the forest. Limited seating is available. // Hylton Performing Arts Center: 10960 George Mason Cir., Manassas; $35

YHikes!

Saturday, 10 a.m.-noon
Take in a fun family hike to start off your Saturday. This monthly session allows families to learn about the different plants and fungi in the forest as you explore nature. Each month features a different trail for new finds every hike. // The Clifton Institute: 6712 Blantyre Rd., Warrenton; free

St. Patrick’s Day Children’s Art Class at Lost Rhino Brewing Co.

Saturday, 11-11:45 a.m.

Fire Building for Kids

Saturday, 1-2 p.m.
Spend the afternoon learning a new skill with your kids. This workshop will go over how to start, feed, and put out campfires safely. Ice Cream Party Pillow Fight

Saturday, 1-2 p.m.
Let your little ones get out all of that extra energy with a pillow fight. Head over to Empowers Martial Arts with a pillow and mask in hand for a much needed afternoon out. Ice cream will also be provided. // 15 Catoctin Cir. SE, Leesburg; free

Welcome to Spring Campfire

Saturday, 6-7:15 p.m.
Ring in the spring season with a toasty fire. Start the evening off exploring the park for animals, plants, and birds. Then kids can share their stories as they roast marshmallows on the fire. // Claude Moore Park: 21544 Old Vestals Gap Rd., Sterling; $5
