Fairfax County police are asking for help to locate a person of interest after a woman was found dead at Burke Lake Park campgrounds on Saturday.
Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 3:09 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, officers found 40-year-old Fairfax resident Cara Abbruscato inside a tent and pronounced her dead, according to a news release from FCPD.
An initial investigation by the Chief Medical Examiners’ office found evidence of “trauma to the upper body,” and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

Detectives are seeking community help to locate Rami El Sayed, a person of interest in the investigation.
Police are also asking anyone who noticed a makeshift tent at the Burke Lake campground between September 19 and 30 to come forward.
FCPD is asking that anyone with information call the Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800 (option 2) or submit anonymous tips through Crime Solvers at 866-411-8477.
