Here’s what’s coming to The Boro at Tysons this month

From the start of a seasonal farmers market to live outdoor entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at The Boro this summer.

The relatively new and growing Tysons development of The Boro is once again expanding, with the addition of several new shops and restaurants to the area this July. By the end of the month, City Nationals Bank, Tasty Kabob, Santouka Ramen and the FRESHFARM Farmers Market (taking place every Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m.) will be open and ready for shoppers and diners alike.

The highly anticipated FRESHFARM market will start on Thursday, July 30 and continue through Thursday, Nov. 19, becoming the organization’s 28th farmers market in the DMV to open for the season. Located off of Greensboro Drive, the market will feature products from 10 locally based merchants, offering items like home-baked bread, fermented teas, kettle corn, home-grown olive oil and more.

In addition, an outdoor drive-in has opened up on select weekends, and Colour Bar Studio, North Italia and Poki DC have resumed operations after brief closures due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The previously planned pedestrian-only space at The Boro will now stay in place through August too, continuing to bring live entertainment to passersby on Thursday and Friday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Upcoming performers include local talents like Jeffrey Herbert, folk band Moose Jaw Bluegrass, David Thong and Shane Gamble.
