Scavenger Hunt: Celebrate Hispanic Heritage

Gum Spring Library is hosting a five-day scavenger hunt. Participants can find flags from Spanish-speaking countries that are hidden around the library, while simultaneously learning about famous Hispanic people who shaped their nations. Hispanic Heritage Fiesta
October 10, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The Reading Garden at Beatley Central Library in Alexandria will be the home of this all-ages event. The Mystic Warriors, a music group dedicated to preserving Andean folk music, will be performing. The group uses instruments that are both traditional and modern to stay true to the art, culture, and heritage of the Quechua and Aymara people in Bolivia, as well as other pre-Inca communities.
