Reston Hospital Center pushes forward on $72M expansion
Reston Hospital Center is in the throes of a $72 million expansion, a phased project that will add more than 63,000 square feet and include a patient tower; intensive care unit; expansion for rehabilitation services, women and children services; and a new parking garage.
Rosslyn beckons boxing
The former Cafe Asia on Wilson Boulevard is soon to become home to Bash Boxing. Taking up more than 4,500 square feet, the studio will have classes focused on interval workouts based on boxing moves. The studio will not fill the entire space of the former restaurant; instead, Brookfield Property Partners will divide the remaining space into two other retail spaces that will be available for lease.
Amazon coming to Loudoun, but it’s not HQ2
As everyone awaits the announcement of where Amazon’s second headquarters will be, the company, headed by Jeff Bezos, is moving into Loudoun by bringing Amazon Web Services to a 600,000-square-foot data center on a 44-acre site just south of Dulles International Airport. According to the Washington Business Journal, Amazon is looking to rezone three vacant parcels between Tall Cedars Parkway and Pleasant Valley Road, and is planning on building a campus with three buildings.
One Loudoun to become home to the region’s next Trader Joe’s
In late January, Trader Joe’s received Loudoun County’s approval to bring its latest store to One Loudoun in Ashburn. The popular grocer is slated to move into the former Fresh Market space. The store gets the approval as the Ashburn shopping center expands its parking options with a new multistory parking garage.
