What type of racing do you do?

I do a form of racing called time-trial racing, or time attack, where your goal is to set the fastest lap.

Describe your wheels.

A 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I got into the modification craze, where you start tuning the cars, making them a bit faster.

What appeals to you about racing?

Pushing the limit and seeing just how fast I can really go. But there is one other thing—and I always tell people this—I love roller coasters. And the great thing about being on a racetrack is while I’m out there, it’s a nonstop roller coaster.

How do you deal with the fear?

I won’t lie to you; I’m actually always afraid. For some reason, I’m able to just bottle it up and ignore it. It happens the instant we go out on track.
