In a world that can oftentimes feel loud and overstimulating, a wellness trend has emerged that provides a quiet moment amongst the relentless noise of daily life.
Sound baths are a sort of meditative experience that can provide clarity, emotional decluttering, and a deep nervous system reset. They can also help reduce anxiety and support better sleep.
Clinical studies have validated the efficacy of sound baths for some participants, says Jenny Goff, founder of Ohm Dome. “The sound does the heavy lifting for you by melting away the physiological symptoms of burnout so you do not have to force your mind to quiet down,” she says. “A sound bath acts as a sonic sweep of your internal landscape to shake loose the stagnant energy and suppressed emotions held tightly in the body.”
If you are interested in giving it a try, here are four NoVA-area sound bath experiences.
