Heavy-equipment operators will put their skills to the test this weekend at Great Country Farms. The second annual Top Gun Construction Rodeo will take place on August 22 and 23. You’ll find friendly competition, hands-on fun, and community activities centered around heavy machinery and skilled operators.
The event, in partnership with the Land Improvement Contractors of America, will feature timed challenges that test operators on precision, speed, and skill. Local contractors and equipment dealers will turn the farm into a competition arena, with rounds on Saturday and equipment demonstrations on Sunday.

Families can also get an up-close look at the equipment and participate in interactive challenges.
There will also be fundraising opportunities to support The Sweet Julia Grace Foundation. The Northern Virginia nonprofit helps children facing serious illnesses, complex special needs, and medical crises. The organization provides gifts and experiences, adaptive equipment, emergency support, therapeutic programs, and inclusive family events.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. One-day advance tickets cost $12 for children and $14 for adults, and two-day advance tickets cost $20 for children and $25 for adults, plus a $1 ticketing fee per ticket. Tickets at the gate are $16 per guest age 2 and older. 34345 Snickersville Tpke., Bluemont
