A man has been arrested in the case of a woman found stabbed near a trail in the Great Falls area early Monday. Fairfax County Police announced the arrest of Alexis Antonio Cedillos-Campos, 19, in connection with the homicide.
Carmen Lizet Puch, 42, of Reston was found lying next to her car in a gravel parking lot near the trail Monday morning. Officers responded to the 8800 block of Georgetown Pike after a jogger reported an unconscious woman lying near a 2011 Honda Civic. Detectives determined that the car was registered to Puch. She had trauma to her upper body and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Cedillos-Campos and Puch were coworkers at a restaurant, News4 reported.
