From a Brazilian-inspired newcomer in Arlington to a cheese lover’s haven in Falls Church, Northern Virginia’s dining scene continues to grow in all the right ways. Whether you’re craving global flavors, comfort food, or a quick snack between meetings, these new openings prove there’s no shortage of flavors to explore.

Alexandria

Dok Khao

Dok Khao serves a menu rooted in traditional recipes with a modern touch. Expect fragrant curries layered with coconut milk and spice, wok-tossed noodles, crisp papaya salads, and vibrant stir-fries balancing heat, sweetness, and citrus. Jon’s Joint

Pan-European inspired Café Monet opens May 6 in McLean’s new Berlage Center of the Arts. The menu includes breakfast items like lemon ricotta pancakes, jamón ibérico croquettes for lunch, and beef Bourguignon for dinner, alongside a European spritz program. Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant

Cooper’s Hawk — with NoVA locations in Reston and Ashburn — is planning to open in Woodbridge on May 18.
