A wave of new Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurants is expanding Northern Virginia’s culinary landscape. These new and coming soon spots highlight tradition and innovation, offering everything from cozy coffeehouses to modern takes on classic fare. 

Pasha Castle 

Pasha Castle offers a refined take on Turkish cuisine, pairing traditional dishes like kebabs and mezze with an inviting, elegant atmosphere. The restaurant emphasizes flavor and presentation, creating an elevated dining experience. 7228 Columbia Pike, Annandale 

Dr. T Shawarma 

For a fast-casual option, Dr. T Shawarma delivers bold Middle Eastern flavors. The menu features juicy shawarma wraps and platters, plus sides like hummus, fries and fresh salads, alongside burgers and sandwiches for broader appeal. 44260 Ice Rink Plz., Ashburn 

Haraz Coffee House 

Rooted in Yemeni tradition, Haraz Coffee House offers a distinctive coffee experience with rich, aromatic brews, espresso drinks and teas. The new cafe emphasizes flavor and cultural heritage, creating a space that’s as much about experience as it is about coffee. 43780 Parkhurst Plz., Ashburn

A new addition to Fairfax’s Mosaic District, NAJA offers a fresh take on Mediterranean cuisine with an emphasis on vibrant flavors and shareable plates. Blending Mediterranean inspiration with American influences, Bourbon & Fig delivers an eclectic menu in a stylish setting. Diners can enjoy a range of options — from hearty entrees to lighter fare. Falcon & Fig  

A new Mediterranean-inspired concept is taking over the former Vino Bistro space in Leesburg, bringing a mix of wine-driven dining and globally influenced Mediterranean dishes. Expect a polished but approachable atmosphere with an emphasis on sharable plates and a strong beverage program. 1605 Village Market Blvd. NE, Ste. 100, Leesburg 

La Omri  

Set to open later this year at Capital One Center, La Omri is positioning itself as a large-scale Mediterranean dining and nightlife destination. The concept blends a chef-driven menu with a cocktail-focused bar and private dining spaces, aiming for a more upscale, experiential feel. Capital One Dr., Tysons 

Sheeba 

Taking over the Le Bistro’s spot in Vienna, Sheeba will bring deep, complex flavors of Yemeni cuisine to Vienna. Though there is no opening date set yet, dishes will be centered around fragrant rice, slow-cooked meats, and traditional breads.
