Think You Look Like JFK Jr.? Test Your Chances at This DC Lookalike Contest

This weekend, contestants resembling John F. Kennedy Jr. will gather at a DC bar for a chance to win a prize.

Lookalike contests are in — from the viral clips of the Timothee Chalamet contest in New York to the Jeremy Allen White contest in Chicago, social media just can’t seem to get enough of them. Now, DC is getting in on the fun with a John F. Kennedy Jr. lookalike contest to be held this weekend.

On Sunday, March 8, at 4 p.m., a drove of people resembling JFK Jr. and observers will convene at Barrel House Cafe and Bar in DC. Plan to arrive early, because it’s looking like it’s going to be a packed house.

The Partiful event currently shows 720 people RSVP’d as going, with 145 interested and 82 listed as maybe. As of Tuesday, only 10 people had signed up to be contestants in the competition. The space is first-come, first-served.

The contestant dubbed the official JFK Jr. lookalike of DC will win a grand prize of $50 in cash (and the possibility of getting recognized at nearly every happy hour for the foreseeable future).

While the nation has always been invested in the Kennedy family, there’s been a recent surge in interest from FX’s new limited series Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette. The show puts the couple back into the spotlight as the show focuses on the relationship between the two and the media attention that came with it.
