6 Affordable Tasting Menus at Northern Virginia Restaurants

These special menus serve up big tastes at an affordable price point.

By Lulu Chang January 23, 2026 at 7:00 am

A tasting menu is the perfect way to truly experience a restaurant’s offerings. And that’s especially appealing when those tasting menus don’t come with an enormous price tag. We’ve rounded up six affordable tasting menus at Northern Virginia eateries, including at several on our 2025 Best Restaurants.

Evelyn Rose

This gem of a restaurant on our 2025 Best Restaurant list offers both a tasting and a la carte menu every day from open to close. And best of all, the whole table does not need to participate in a tasting. The menu itself changes frequently, as does the price point. The current five-course offering runs $91 and features Shima Aji Crudo, Texas Capra Lamb Loin, and a Brown Butter Mandarin Creamsicle for dessert. 111 Church St., NW, Vienna

Vermilion

At Vermillion, also a 2025 Best Restaurant, you’ll find a seasonally driven menu that evolves as often as the bounty of the Mid-Atlantic. For $75, guests will enjoy a family-style meal that includes the entirety of the starter section, followed by a choice of entree and dessert to be shared by the table. 1120 King St., Alexandria

Bastille

At Bastille, there are actually two tasting menu options — one for $49 and another for $59. Depending on which you select, you’ll have a slightly different menu to choose from for your appetizer, entree, and dessert. 606 N Fayette St., Alexandria

Joon

Another one of our 2025 Best Restaurants, every Tuesday at Joon, the kitchen offers a $50 set multi-course menu with an optional $25 wine pairing. Or for those looking to abstain, a $20 nonalcoholic pairing. The Persian restaurant celebrates the wide variety of spices, flavors, and ingredients of the Middle East, with dessert options of saffron and rose water ice cream, or a persian love cake with a rosewater glaze. 8045 Leesburg Pike, Suite 120, Vienna

Maple Ave Restaurant

The constantly changing menu at Maple Ave is dictated by what’s available from local producers, foraging, or the owner’s own garden. Two versions of the tasting menu are available — one for dinner at $59 and one for brunch at $27. 147 Maple Ave. W., Vienna

Ingle

No. 7 on our 2025 Best Restaurants list, this high-end Korean steakhouse is combining quality with value, especially when it comes to their set menu. The lunch prix-fixe runs $58, while dinner is $80, and both are excellent ways to be introduced to the extensive menu of Korean delicacies and specialty cuts of beef. 8369 Leesburg Pike, Suite A, Vienna
