Láylí Mediterranean in Clarendon Has Closed

The restaurant’s building is slated to be redeveloped by 2027.

Láylí Mediterranean in Arlington appears to have permanently closed amid redevelopment plans for its building, ARLNow reported.

The Mediterranean eatery opened in June 2024 at 3033 Wilson Blvd. in Clarendon. Run by the team behind Vienna’s now-closed Zenola, Láylí offered Lebanese cuisine with Greek and Turkish influences.

The restaurant focused on mezze-style dishes like stuffed grape leaves, dips and spreads, and kibbeh. Those bites were paired with Mediterranean-inspired cocktails.

Láylí has been listed as “permanently closed” on Google. It is no longer available on Resy or DoorDash, and the restaurant’s online ordering system is unavailable. The patio area was void of chairs, tables, and space heaters, according to ARLNow.

The building where Láylí was a tenant is slated for redevelopment. Carr Properties proposed a plan in 2024 to replace the building with an eight-story mixed-use residential development with ground floor retail.

The Arlington County Board approved the plan at a meeting on May 10. Carr Properties plans to complete the project by August 2027.
