The annual Temple Hall Farm Fall Festival kicks off on Saturday, September 27 at 9 a.m. The event runs through November 2. Tickets are sold daily until 4 p.m.

The family-friendly event offers pick-your-own pumpkins, either via wagon ride or walking directly to the pumpkin patch itself. You can also cut your own sunflowers fresh from the stalk.

Family-Friendly Activities

The farm is home to animals like cows, goats, alpacas, sheep, pigs, and chickens and offers a fall festival scavenger hunt involving the animals. Kids can practice their cattle roping skills on a wooden roping cattle and afterwards get any extra energy out at two gigantic inflatable jumping pillows.

More adventurous little ones will love the hill slides that offer picturesque views from the top of the slide. There’s also a playground a giant “cornbox,” much like a sandbox but with corn instead.

A big favorite for all ages is the pumpkin cannons, which offers the opportunity to hurl a pumpkin and watch it explode into an orangey mess.

Food and Tickets

If you get hungry at the festival, NOVA Parks food trucks will be selling hot dogs, funnel cakes, snacks, and drinks. There will also be beers on tap from Barnhouse Brewery in Leesburg.

Admission to the Temple Hill Farm Fall Festival is $15 per person on weekends and $12 on week days. Admission includes one pumpkin and sunflowers. Admission is free for those younger than 2, but it does not include a pumpkin. Credit is preferred; there are no online ticket sales.

“Come out for a day of fall fun on the farm and enjoy a slower pace, with fresh air and wide-open spaces at the biggest pick-your-own pumpkin patch in Loudoun County,” says Park Specialist Emily Johnson. Temple Hall Farm Regional Park: 15855 Limestone School Rd., Leesburg
