Ms. Peach’s Southern Kitchen Is Opening in Sterling

Restaurateur Warren Thompson’s newest venture is an homage to his late grandmother.

Grandma’s house just got a little bit closer. Crispy fried chicken, savory shrimp and grits, and warm peach cobbler — these Southern staples and more are coming to Sterling on August 25. The newest venture from Reston-based Thompson Restaurants is Ms. Peach’s Southern Kitchen, an homage to founder Warren Thompson’s late grandmother.

“Bold flavors, family style dining, sharing and comfort food, colors and seasons folded into each dish — the whole brand is a tribute to Hattie Warren, Warren Thompson’s grandmother,” says Alex Berentzen, Thompson Restaurants’ chief operating officer. “So many of the dishes are inspired by her cooking and her love for Southern cuisine.”

Curated from fresh, local ingredients, Ms. Peach’s Southern Kitchen offers a variety of classics on its curated menu, from gumbo to catfish bites to deviled eggs. With options for unlimited brunch and family meal dining, guests can come hungry and eat big.

“Our mission is to make every meal feel like home and to bring people together through the power of great food and hospitality,” Berentzen says. “Each dish we serve is a testament to the rich history of southern cooking and the spirit of community that makes our restaurant special.”

Ms. Peach’s beverage selection is extensive, with mimosa towers for the table, espresso martinis, and back porch mint juleps. Spirit-free options are also available, with refreshing peach tea and watermelon breeze blends.

The eatery in Sterling’s Great Falls Plaza will be open for dinner Monday through Thursday and breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner Friday through Sunday.

“It is all the things one would come to expect at grandma’s table from delicious comfort-filled food, to the smart and inviting atmosphere of Southern hospitality,” Berentzen says. “It is rich comfort food, rooted in the South.”

A family-run organization, Thompson Restaurants owns and operates 15 brands across more than 65 locations including Makers Union, Matchbox, Milk & Honey, Velocity Wings, and Wiseguy Pizza.
