A New Playspace Is Opening in Dulles Town Center

The space will be geared toward kids ages 6 and under.

Northern Virginia parents with little kids will have a new playspace to explore this fall. Dulles Town Center will host one of the first locations of Cloudbound. The facility is a new concept from Sky Zone.

Cloudbound is specifically designed for children ages 6 and under and their parents. The space is expected to open this fall. It will be located in the new Sky Zone at Dulles Town Center. Of the 60,000 square feet allotted to Sky Zone, Cloudbound is set to occupy about one third of the location.

“Today’s parents are seeking developmentally rich experiences for their young kids, but often feel overwhelmed and underserved,” Caitlin Shufelt, vice president of Cloudbound, said in a press release. “Cloudbound parks will answer the call — offering play spaces that support child development while giving parents a chance to bond, connect, and find community.”

With a focus on unstructured play, the new concept will feature interactive tummy time areas, soft spinning gyroscopic chairs, castles in the sky, and other kid-friendly experiences. Special amenities for adults include a cafe, private nursing rooms, family restrooms, stroller parking, and quiet rooms.

Cloudbound’s location at Dulles Town Center will be the playspace’s first in the DMV. A location in New York is also in the works.
