Flavor Hive Operates Food Truck Outside Upcoming Brick-and-Mortar Location

The restaurant is bringing its viral “walking tacos” to Annandale.

Popular Alexandria food truck Flavor Hive is coming to a brick-and-mortar space in Annandale — and in the meantime, there’s a second food truck parked right outside to serve hungry customers.

Flavor Hive will occupy a former Wells Fargo space at 4260 John Marr Drive in Annandale. And while the shop is under construction, with plans to open in mid-June, a food truck at the same address is open every day.

Flavor Hive has gained a large online following for its signature “walking tacos.” Customers bring their own bags of chips, and employees load them up with toppings like chicken, beef, falafel, cheese, and sauces.

It even drew the attention of TikToker Keith Lee, who visited the Alexandria outpost in August for a review.

The walking tacos are the most memorable menu item, but they’re not the only food available. The truck also serves rice bowls, quesadillas, loaded fries, and samosa chaat.

The Annandale location is open from 6 p.m. to midnight Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays, and noon to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
