Man Dies in Hit-and-Run in Fort Hunt

The pedestrian fatality comes just days after several others in Fairfax County.

Fairfax County police are investigating a Thursday morning hit-and-run involving a pedestrian.

The crash that occurred around during the morning commute killed a man at U.S. Route 1 and Woodlawn Trail in Fort Hunt, police said on social media.

Officers are on scene of a fatal pedestrian crash at Route 1 & Woodlawn Trail in Fort Hunt. The pedestrian, an adult male, was declared deceased at the scene.

The man died at the scene. It was raining across NoVA at the time of the pedestrian fatality.

Last weekend, three pedestrians died as a result of drivers striking them. None of those crashes involved hit-and-run drivers. One was struck on Thursday and the other two on Saturday.
