How to Get Cash Back for Shopping Along Columbia Pike

The Open Rewards program is one way the Columbia Pike Partnership is encouraging people to shop locally.

By Colleen Kelleher May 23, 2024 at 8:42 am

Shoppers who enroll in an Open Rewards program can now earn 5 percent back if they shop at businesses along Columbia Pike.

“The Columbia Pike Partnership is very excited to be part of this program and is eager to support the small businesses that are so important to the cultural vibrancy of this community. We hope this motivates shoppers to visit Columbia Pike and support our thriving community,” said Andrew Schneider, executive director of the partnership, said in a news release.

The partnership, which includes businesses along a 3.5-mile-long stretch of Columbia Pike through Arlington to Fairfax County, started with the program on May 15.

Here’s how it works: You download BlueDot’s app and create a free account, link your credit card to the account, and shop at participating businesses. It takes a couple of days for transactions to post. You can also upload receipts if you did not use your linked card.

You can earn a maximum reward of $10 that can then be used to support other small businesses along Columbia Pike.

The program continues until the money runs out.
