7 NoVA Spring Festivals and Craft Fairs to Add to Your Calendar

Craft fairs, art festivals, and flea markets — these are can’t miss-events in Northern Virginia.

It’s time to shake off the dust and get ready to discover treasures across Northern Virginia. Here are seven spring festivals and craft fairs you should visit.  

Capital Art and Craft Festival 

March 22–24 

This spring arts and crafts festival features more than 250 artisans and vendors. You’ll find pieces in a variety of mediums, from handblown glass and jewelry to pottery, paintings, and handmade textiles. Freshen up your home décor, expand your wardrobe, or simply go to be inspired. Dulles Expo Center: 4320 Chantilly Shopping Center, Chantilly, $11 

Spring Artisan Market at Eden Try Winery 

March 23 

Spring finds and award-winning wines abound at this low-key, boutique craft market. Discover your next showstopping centerpiece or go for a stroll in Eden Try Winery’s 12-acre estate. 618 River Rd., Fredericksburg, free 

Arlington Flea Market 

April 6 

This flea market in the heart of Arlington is the perfect place for bargain hunters and casual shoppers. Kick off the spring season with some fantastic vintage finds. If you miss this one, no worries. The open-air flea market is held the first Saturday of every month from 7 a.m. to 1p.m. 4001 15th St. N., Arlington, free 

Spring Arts and Crafts Show 

April 6–7 

Browse more than 150 vendors who are selling everything from jewelry and prints to knit goods and trinkets. Fredericksburg Convention Center: 2371 Carl D. Silver Pkwy, Fredericksburg, $8 admission, 12 and under free 

Earth Day Festival 

April 20 

Learn about your impact on planet Earth and local wildlife at this hands-on, family-friendly festival. There will be live music, along with games, outdoor camping and fishing demonstrations, and a petting zoo. Food and craft beer can be purchased from food trucks. 3650 Historic Sully Way, Chantilly, free admission, $10 parking 

Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival 

April 26–May 5 

As one of the oldest festivals in Virginia, the 10-day Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival hosts community events, parades, and the crowning of Queen Shenandoah. The fun kicks off with the carnival in Winchester, along with the Bloomin’ Wine Fest and the Artisan and Crafter Show. 135 N. Cameron St., Winchester, prices vary, depending on the event 

Spring Wine Festival  

May 17–19 

Add a flourish to spring with a glass of wine at Mount Vernon on the banks of the Potomac River. Guests can enjoy the beauty of our first president’s home while sampling 20 different Virginia-made wines. Don’t forget to bring a blanket to relax on the east lawn. 3200 Mount Vernon Memorial Hwy., Mount Vernon, starting at $54
