By Colleen Kelleher September 13, 2023 at 11:26 am

Centreville High School inducted sports broadcaster Lindsay Czarniak into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame over the weekend.

Fairfax County Public Schools posted the honor for the 1996 Centreville High graduate on its Facebook page. Czarniak also shared the news on her Facebook page and wrote that she is still proud to be a Wildcat.

“The teenager in me still feels starstruck by the other inductees who I looked up to then and still do now,” the post said.

Czarniak, who lives in Westport, Connecticut, with her husband, NBC Today anchor Craig Melvin, and two children, now hosts a podcast on familyMADE called, Lunch with Lindsay.

Czarniak has worked as a Fox NFL reporter and Fox NASCAR contributor, a CBS SRX Racing host, studio host for NBC’s Olympic Games coverage, and as an anchor on ESPN’s SportsCenter. Previously, the James Madison University graduate worked as an NBC4 sports reporter, where she became one of the area’s most recognizable people. She has won a number of awards in TV broadcasting, including Emmy and Gracie awards.
