Looking to stand out as a walkable urban village minutes away from the Capital Beltway and the Dulles Toll Road, Heming, a luxury development complete with housing, retail spaces, and a public plaza, is coming to Tysons in McLean as part of the Scott’s Run neighborhood at 1800 Chain Bridge Road.
Scott’s Run is a neighborhood ripe with mixed-use developments, located across from the McLean metro station—and at 6.5 million square feet, it’s the largest project ever approved in the history of Fairfax County. Heming is expected to deliver in the second quarter of 2023, and most recently reached its “topping out” milestone, meaning the 28-story structure has reached its full height.
Developed by Skanska USA, Heming will include 410 residential units, and will bring 82 affordable housing spaces to Tysons as part of Fairfax County’s Workforce Dwelling Unit Rental program. The apartments average 884 square feet in size. Heming will also include 38,000 square feet of restaurants and shops, and a three-level outdoor public plaza called The Levels.
The Levels will connect Chain Bridge Road to Platform Avenue and the metro station through an open-air plaza, giving the public access to nature with 20,000 square feet of beautifully terraced and landscaped outdoor space for dining, gathering, and special programing.
Inside, Heming will have three floors of amenities for its residents. Interior amenities include multiple gathering areas—from a club room to coworking spaces — a private room on the 25th floor, and a fitness center with a wide range of state-of-the-art fitness equipment. Additional exterior amenities include a private courtyard, an expansive deck with a pool, multiple barbecue stations, a garden, and an outdoor clubroom.
