A La Cart
I’m eating dim sum off of a cart! As I outlined in my review of Mark’s Duck House, there are few things that have made me feel more like life is returning to normal than pointing to an item in a steamer basket and having it placed on my table. I’m fully vaxxed and ready to repeat this new adventure over and over until the novelty wears off. // 6184-A Arlington Blvd., Falls Church –Alice Levitt, food editor/critic
All Booked
At the beginning of the year, I set a resolution to read at least one book per month. While, I’ve slacked off a little the last month, these recommendations have re-energized me to complete my goal. I’ve already gone to the bookstore to pick up a copy of Yolk by Mary H.K. Choi. I loved the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series, so I’m ready to dive head first into this one. –Michele Kettner, associated digital and research editor
Summer Camp
I need to be at the brunch screening of To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar at Alamo Drafthouse on Sunday, June 6. I haven’t seen that movie since it came out in 1995–in other words, it’s been way too long. –Kelly Kendall, editor
