The Weems-Botts Bibliophiles: Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales

Skip the Saturday morning cartoons and go for story time with the kids. Gather around the computer to hear the lesser known Grimm Short Stories and learn the historical context behind the lessons. // $10
Celebrate Spring

Spend the afternoon welcoming in the new season. The square will be full of fun activities, including a photo booth, caricaturist, balloon artist, and a sighting from the Easter Bunny. Rabbit Hole-in-One

Blossom Kite Fly

Even though the big event at the National Mall isn’t happening, the event goes on in your backyard. Dust off your kite and pick out the perfect spot for a day of flying. Virtual workshops will also be available to help prepare for the big day. // free

Head to the park for a little holiday fun. Instead of the usual hunt, families will have all week to search for eight wooden eggs throughout the park. Once you complete the sheet, turn it in for a special prize. // Potomac Overlook Regional Park: 2845 N. Marcey Rd., Arlington; $8 per child
