Just last month, Arlington was named the fittest city in the United States for the third year in a row. To celebrate the honor and support local businesses, the Ballston BID (Ballston Business Improvement District) has launched its inaugural BallstonMoves Fitness Week.
This event is currently running now through Sunday, Aug. 9 (it began Aug. 1), and offers participants exclusive deals, including free, introductory in-person and virtual classes and discounted membership fees to local gyms.
Ballston BID CEO Tina Leone said in a recent press release, “The health and well-being of the community is the Ballston BID’s highest priority. Many gyms are currently offering virtual class options, and all are ensuring proper distancing through reduced class sizes, in addition to maintaining enhanced hygiene practices for in-person classes and visits.”
There are nine local businesses participating in the weeklong event. The list includes Ballston CrossFit, BASH Boxing, F45 Training, Gold’s Gym, One Life Fitness, Praxi Pilates, Orangetheory Fitness, Studio Body Logic and VIDA Fitness.
Participants need to register in advance in order to receive the special offers at the individual gyms and fitness studios. To register for a class or sign up for a discounted membership, visit the BallstonMoves webpage.
