Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate.

That’s the plan for the one-year anniversary celebration at River-Sea Chocolates in Chantilly on Saturday, Nov. 16.  The full day of activities will kick off with everything chocolate-inspired.

Free samples of the company’s flavored and international chocolates will be available (while supplies last), as well as samples of traditional whole-bean hot chocolate, made with milk, coconut milk or cayenne, and samples of cacao juice.

While guests snack on sweets, they can take a tour of the factory and its facilities, typically reserved for appointments or special requests.

The company will also host an array of scheduled events, including an afternoon tea in partnership with Elden Street Tea Shop, fit with chocolate pairings, a bar-decorating experience (where guests can chooses from ingredients such as rose petals, Himalayan pink salt, fruits, nuts and more), as well as guided chocolate tastings with back stories for each featured flavor.

For the adults, there will be more mature pairings with beer and wine, featuring chocolate stout brews from neighbor Ono Brewing Company, as well as Lake Anne Brew House and select wines from The Wine Kitchen.

River-Sea Chocolates set up shop in Chantilly in 2018 after they fell into the business by accident, and have been creating environmentally friendly, international chocolate bars ever since. If you’re interested in attending the one-year celebration, tickets are available through Facebook and Eventbrite. // River-Seas Chocolate: 4520 Daly Drive, Suite 100, Chantilly; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; $5-$20
