Finding enough time to go to the gym, cook fresh meals and maintain your personal health can be overwhelming. There’s only so much time in the day, and we have to chop up how many vegetables to get our daily serving suggestions?

Snap Kitchen has arrived in the DMV to try to alleviate that common stress by delivering never-frozen meals to residents’ doorsteps. The Texas-based company formerly served only the Austin, Houston, Dallas and Philadelphia areas, but has since expanded to reach new markets in Washington, DC, Baltimore and New Jersey as of late June.

The company is a health-focused meal delivery service that offers prepared meals that include options for individuals that may follow low-carb, high-protein, paleo, Whole30, keto or vegetarian diets. Meals are made daily and delivered within two days to customers; no prep work or cooking required. In addition, all meals are free from gluten, antibiotics, added hormones and artificial preservatives, flavors and colors, according to the company.

Customers can build a plan of six to 12 meal boxes with up to 36 menu options ranging in price from $3.99 to $12.99. As a supporter of eliminating waste, all delivery containers from the company are compostable and the boxes are biodegradable, and any leftover food gets donated to local nonprofit charities in the surrounding delivery areas.
