Cooter’s Place is havin’ a party. The Dukes of Hazzard-themed shop and museum, located in Luray, is hosting a fan festival on Aug. 10 ad 11 at the Shenandoah Valley Speedway to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the TV series.

The Cooter’s Good ol’ Boys Fest is being hosted by Ben Jones, who played Cooter in the original 1979 series, with his wife, Alma Viator.

The two-day celebration has a jam-packed schedule of live music and entertainment including a BMX stunt show, the Hazzard County car show with over 150 entries (including plenty of replicas for fans to fawn over), family-friendly activities and appearances from the show’s original cast members.

Tom Wopat (Luke Duke), Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke), Sonny Shroyer (Deputy Enos) and Rick Hurst (Deputy Cletus), will all be on site both on Saturday and Sunday for meet-and-greets, autograph signings and photo ops.

Five-time Grammy winner Wynonna & The Big Noise will take the stage Saturday night, while other artists will perform throughout the weekend.

Guests can also purchase special event tickets to get a group photo with all of the cast members and the General Lee car for $100, or take a ride in the vehicle around the speedway for $20.

For more information on the event, visit cootersplace.com. // Shenandoah Valley Speedway: 301 Precision Road, Shenandoah; Cooter’s Place Luray: 4768 US-211, Luray; Festival tickets start at $30 with one-day, two-day and kids passes available
