Long before many were posting daily snapshots of their perfect pooches on Instagram, William Wegman was documenting and sharing artistic photos of his own beloved Weimaraners with the world.

Since 1986, Wegman’s photogenic pups have been dressed in everything from suits and ties to feather boas and head pieces, making appearances in his internationally renowned artwork of drawings, paintings, photographs and videos.

Now the artist is headed to Creighton Farms in Aldie on Saturday, June 29, to speak about the art he has created and his inspiration throughout his career.

In recent years, Wegman has been featured as a guest on Late Night with David Letterman and The Colbert Report, and has created film and video for Saturday Night Live, Nickelodeon and Sesame Street.

He has also composed five books, one of which each guest will receive upon attendance. William Wegman: Being Human, was published in 2017 and is Wegman’s most recent book, featuring over 300 images of his Weimaraners over the years.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit Middleburg Humane Foundation.
