Potomac River water is better, but not clean; Meeting to be held on West Falls Church Metro

Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments analyzed data collected from the Potomac River between 1985 and 2016, determining that some levels of pollution are down, but the waterway still contains too many pollutants to be reported as “clean.” (Arl Now)

A community meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 21, at 7 p.m. to discuss development of the West Falls Church Metro station area. The task force on the project is meeting once per month through the fall to evaluate impacts of the proposal made by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority and Virginia Tech to develop portions of West Falls Church. The meeting will be held at the Northern Virginia Center. (Inside NoVA)
