Shopaholics rejoice: the Alexandria Warehouse Sale returns to the heart of Old Town on Feb. 2.
Dubbed the Super Bowl of shopping because it always occurs on the Saturday of Super Bowl weekend, the annual event is celebrating its 15th year in 2019. Taking place at Westin Hotel in the Carlyle District, the free-to-enter sale will include boutiques and retailers from the Metro area offering discounted prices on all merchandise.
The event will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Many shoppers will line up hours before the doors open to get first grabs.
While waiting in line, guests can enjoy giveaways and prizes from participating boutiques; Mind the Mat, a complimentary Pilates and yoga class being held at 7:15 and 8 a.m.; a complimentary Valentine’s Day-themed Make & Take station by AR Workshop Alexandria (8:30-10:30 a.m.); a Truly Spiked & Sparkling tasting bar; and complimentary glitter and mini braid bar by Salon DeZen (8-9 a.m.).
Participating merchants include Wylie Grey, She’s Unique, Little Birdies, The Shoe Hive, Pacers, Gossypia, Mystique Jewelers and more. Clothing, shoes, jewelry, home furnishings and more will be available for up to 80 percent off retail prices, and prices are expected to drop throughout the day as vendors look to sell their seasonal merchandise.
Alexandria Warehouse Sale is giving away early entry into the event to four shoppers, which will include a pass for the winners and one guest each. Winners will enjoy the sale for an hour before the doors open to the public. The contest ends on Jan. 31, and winners will be notified Feb. 1.
