Todd Hitt, the 53-year-old Fairfax resident and owner of the financial company Kiddar Capital, has been charged with fraud. Hitt allegedly told investors that he needed more than $10 million to buy a building in Herndon, but instead used the money for personal expenses, vacations and sports tickets.

Tropical Storm Michael is expected to become a Category 2 hurricane with 110 mph winds. The storm is supposed to hit the Gulf Coast of Florida, then deliver rain to the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic areas Thursday and Friday.
