Two soldiers from Second Battle of Manassas buried at Arlington National Cemetery; Boy succumbs to medical emergency on Fairfax County school bus

156 years after they were killed in the Second Battle of Manassas, two soldiers were buried at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday.

Thursday afternoon, a young boy suffered a medical emergency on a Fairfax County school bus. The boy was pronounced dead at the hospital. His cause of death has not been released.

The Harrisonburg, Virginia, grandmother and granddaughter for whom an Amber Alert was issued in August have been found deceased. The man suspected of abducting them, Hareton Jaime Rodriguez Sariol, led police to their bodies in Shenandoah National Park.

Earlier this week, a woman and two children were found dead inside a home in Herndon. It has been determined that the crime was a murder-suicide, the 42-year-old woman shooting the two children and then turning the gun on herself. The children’s ages and their relationship to the woman have not been released.

A man described as being 6 feet tall with brown hair and a beard exposed himself to two teenage females on Wednesday in the 16000 block of Hiddenbrook Road. Monday, a man with a similar description was reported following two other teenage females on a Herndon Parkway near Winterwood Place bike trail. During the Monday incident, the man did not reveal himself to the girls, but did make comments about the teenagers.

Thursday, a tree fell on an Arlington home in the 4500 block of 35th St. N. No injuries were reported.
