MICRONEEDLING: Microneedling helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles and some of the deep wrinkles after about three to four sessions, but I suggest six sessions. Clients should wait four to six weeks between sessions depending on skin type. I’m seeing a lot of people in their early 30s and 40s coming in for prevention purposes. I always accompany microneedling with an LED treatment so results come out better and there isn’t as much redness after. And, LED treatments promote collagen production.

MICROBLADING: This is a treatment that gets you those 5-10 minutes back in the morning because your brows look perfect. People want to minimize makeup time or they are older and can’t see what they are doing; microblading takes out the guesswork. I’m seeing clients in their late 20s to 60s, with my oldest client being 74.

HIGH INTENSITY FREQUENCY ULTRASOUND TREATMENTS (HIFU): Treatments like Ulthera are what we call the lunchtime facelift. It lifts and tightens the skin, there is no downtime and you don’t get red. You can combine these treatments with other facials and LED treatments, which heals everything and makes skin glow.

INTENSE PEELS: Any type of more intense peels or revitalize peels are good to get done prior to the summer because you’ll need two to four days of downtime. It’s better to do these intense peels during winter months than summer months. After a peel, you have two to four days of peeling, then your skin goes into a raw stage. For a week and a half be cautious out in the sun. If you just got a suntan, you shouldn’t do any type of peel or laser until your skin calms down.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL: A lot of people have the misconception that they can do laser hair removal once or twice and then they’re done. No, that is not the way it works. You need to mentally prepare yourself for at least six sessions, sometimes more. The hair has three stages of growth so you have to be able to kill all three stages to reduce the hair growth so eventually it stops. Depending on the area of skin you are treating, you can go four to eight weeks between sessions. Some people will see results quickly, others take a while to see results. But, don’t go out in the sun right after a treatment; wait a few days.

DERMAPLANING: Dermaplaning takes off the dead skin cells and vellus hairs (peach fuzz) on your face and leaves the skin nice, glowy, smooth and fresh.
