Anchyi Adorned‘s Anchyi Wei is a designer and artist who uses fashion as an outlet for her art. What started as coworkers snapping pics of her outfits turned into a go-to site where area stylesetters follow along with her take on style, which veers toward boundary-breaking outfits.
Style Philosophy
Creative individuality is key. I’m always on opposite ends of the extreme: high and low, maximalism and minimalism, avant garde and vintage. Whatever I choose, I make a statement.
Makeup you can’t live without
Most of my makeup now comes from Whole Foods—the Mineral Fusion line is EWG (Environmental Working Group) verified, a standard resource I use for health and wellness. They also give back to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. It’s a no-brainer for me.
Bucket list place for travel
Peru/Machu Picchu is super high on the list.
Best Instagram shoot spot in NoVA
Currently obsessing with Isabella Eatery. Although I haven’t been to Mosaic District yet, there’s a giraffe mural there that keeps popping up on my Instagram. Interior decor wise, the developments over at Upper West in One Loudoun are truly stunning.
Book you’re reading
Head Strong by Dave Asprey and Keto Reset Diet by Mark Sisson. A recent read that was truly inspiring was Code of the Extraordinary Mind by Vishen Lakhiani.
Favorite NoVA shopping spot
You can’t beat the luxury retailers at Tysons Galleria. And I love consignment shopping for finding great deals. Current Boutique in Arlington is always fun for treasure hunting.
Go-to outfit or clothing item
This definitely involves white shoes. They make any outfit pop and look instantly cooler. I like to wear them with a long dress or casually with frayed jeans and a sweater.
Favorite accessory you can’t stop wearing
Hats are the easiest way to look stylish while not having to do hair. The Ruslan Baginskiy baker boy hats have been a celebrity favorite—the structured look dresses up any outfit instantly.
