This summer, have your young, budding writer discuss and workshop their pieces with peers and professionals. In Fairfax and Arlington, the Northern Virginia Writing Project is holding its writing institute, where young writers will go through the entire writing process, from drafts and editing to revision and publication. Campers will work in small groups and focus on various genres and types of writing—novels, short stories and poetry—giving feedback to each other to produce the best piece they can.
