The Academy of Christian Education in Reston is focusing this year’s summer camp on STEAM-based programs where each week will be devoted to one of the elements: science, technology, engineering, arts and math. Campers will get hands-on instruction in each field and get out to see how these fields work in real life by taking weekly field trips to reinforce the topics covered while on campus. The focus of the camp is to teach academic activities, critical-thinking techniques and problem solving, while also peppering in typical summer fun such as water activities, crafts, games and more.
