5 fitness activities to join this weekend

Get out and enjoy a golf tournament, yoga session, or garden walk as your spring workout.

This beautiful weather heading to NoVA over the weekend is your sign to get outside. From a golf tournament for couples to outdoor yoga and drink sessions, take your workout outdoors and sign up for one of these fitness activities this weekend.

For Better or Worse Couples Tournament

Saturday, 8 a.m.
Exchange date night for date morning by heading out to the links. Show off your competitive side as you compete in a 18-hole scramble format. Prizes will be awarded to the teams who place first, second, and third in the tournament. // Burke Lake Golf Center: 6915 Ox Rd., Fairfax Station; $75 per team

2021 Lake Trail 5k, 10k, & Half

Sunday, 7:30 a.m.-noon
Enjoy a day by the lake with a morning run. Take in the crisp lake air Saturday morning as you run either the 5k, 10k, or half-marathon course. A virtual option will also be available to runners while registering. // Burke Lake Park: 7315 Ox Rd., Springfield; $13-$65

Sunrise Yoga at Sunshine Ridge

Sunday, 10-11 a.m.
Start off your Sunday with a killer morning view. Wake up your body with an all-level Vinyasa Flow yoga class with stunning views of the lake. Yoga & Beer at Rocket Frog Brewing

Sunday, 10-11:30 a.m.

Alexandria Garden Walk

Sunday, 2-4 p.m.
Who doesn’t love a walk with a view? Switch up your daily stroll and move it to the gardens. As you walk Eugene Simpson Stadium Park and other community gardens around Del Ray, take in the butterfly garden, fragrant flowers, and traffic gardens as you learn about the different native plants. // Eugene Simpson Stadium Park: 426 E.
