9 workout classes to take outdoors this weekend

From paddle board yoga to virtual Zumba, take it outside to break a sweat under the hot summer sun.

With summer officially beginning last week, it is the perfect time to take your workout outdoors. Whether you want to stay virtual, meet up with a small group or take your routine to the water, change up your workout with one of these nine fitness classes, below. 

Virtual Dance Fitness Party!
Friday, June 26, 7-8 p.m.
Dance away your stress from the workweek with Zumba. Practice your moves in your living room as you dance to a combination of Latin, Afro beats, hip hop and R&B jams. // free

Brave the Storm 2020 5K
Friday, June 26 through Sunday, June 28
Help end the stigma of mental illness with the inaugural Brave the Storm 5K. Hike, jog, bike or walk at your location of choice. Upon registration, all participants will receive a print-at-home bib to wear when running. // free, donations accepted

FIRE and AIR for Change
Saturday, June 27, 10 a.m.-noon
The Yoga Experience’s Fire and Air series features back-to-back classes that focus on power and high-intensity interval training. Donations from the event will go toward the Black Trans Advocacy Coalition and The Black Yoga Teachers Alliance. // donations accepted

Managing Anxiety with Ayurveda with Penny Diamanti
Saturday, June 27, 2-3:30 p.m.
Spend your Saturday learning how to manage your anxiety through yoga and lifestyle choices. Participants will learn how anxiety manifests in regards to your dosha and how to control it through asanas, aromatherapy and more. // $20

Stand up paddle board yoga
Saturday, June 27, 3:30-5 p.m. & 5:30-7 p.m.

Water Aerobics
