There’s more to an arm workout than just 5-pound dumbbells. But, everyone has to start somewhere.

Coming soon to Loudoun County, The Shop Gym will boast a wide array of equipment dedicated to bodybuilding, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting and strength and conditioning, including, of course, dumbbells ranging from 5 to 150 pounds.

The local gym’s current location in Manassas features cardio equipment (ellipticals, treadmills and stationary bikes), 2,000 square feet of strength-and-conditioning turf, 1,000 square feet of strongman track, 3,000 square feet dedicated to powerlifting and specialized equipment, as well as personal training and a posing and photography room. The facility is open 24/7, 365 days of the year.

The Ashburn location will be nearly 30,000 square feet in total and it’s yet to be determined how much will be dedicated to each specialization. The Shop Gym announced the news on social media on Jan. 1 to kick off the new year, and is hoping to open its doors in six to eight months. // The Shop Gym: 9311 Wellington Road, Manassas; Ashburn address TBA
