Stay active this month with fun and unique health and wellness events, taking place throughout the Northern Virginia region.

Total Run Training Series
May 4-May 18, 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
Throughout May, join Lululemon ambassadors and featured health specialists for a running series that consists of different runs that each serve a unique purpose. From a three-mile jog to a 10-mile run, the Lulu team will motivate you the entire way. // Lululemon: 11957 Market St., Reston; free

 12th Annual Walk for Mental Wellness
May 4, 9 a.m.-noon
Put on your walking shoes and make a difference through this annual walk to raise awareness about mental health and wellness in the Fredericksburg community. This can’t-miss day of empowerment begins at 9 a.m., and will consist of live music, raffles, games for kids and awards for participants. // Maury Park: William St. and Kenmore Ave., Fredericksburg; registration costs vary

Pilates Day 2019
May 4, 12:30 p.m.- 4 p.m.
It’s National Pilates Day on Saturday, May 4, and Praxi Pilates is celebrating the right way with a day full of fun.  Stress, Anxiety and Heart Health
May 8, 6-8 p.m.
At this lecture event, Dr. Yaya, a double board certified-cardiologist, will speak about a holistic approach to health conditions like high blood pressure, cholesterol and much more.  Kombucha Brewing Workshop
May 11, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Join Rachel Abbett this weekend for an unconventional Mother’s Day tea. Learn to make kombucha, a fermented tea with immunity-boosting probiotics, in a step-by-step workshop that will teach you how beneficial fermentation truly is. Health and Wellness Expo – Empowering Prince William County
May 18, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Hosted at the Freedom High School in Woodbridge, this health and wellness expo will consist of dozens of vendors that will provide free medical screenings, Zumba classes, wellness tips and much more.  Doggy Noses & Yoga Poses
May 19, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Head over to Mustang Sally Brewing Company this weekend for a one-of-a-kind yoga experience that will benefit Island Dog Rescue. Relax, stretch out and enjoy a room full of puppies who will freely interact with you while you learn in this mixed-level yoga class. What’s more? 14th Annual Yoga on the Mall
May 19, 10 a.m.-noon
Each year, thousands of people from the DMV area and beyond head to the Washington Monument for a day of community fundraising and yoga flow. Food, Mood, Behavior & Sleep Community Workshop
