Farm Fresh
After a rain out this past weekend, I’m ready for some much needed sunshine. This week, I’m going to take advantage of the gorgeous spring weather (while we have it) and enjoy a stunning farm-to-table meal right on the farm. Stopping by Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm on my way home from work definitely sounds like the move. –Michele Kettner, associate digital & research editor
Field of Dreams
May brings one of my family’s favorite pastimes: picking fresh strawberries. Wegmeyer Farms is easy enough for us to get to on a weeknight (as long as there’s a reservation available), and heading further out to Hollin Farms in Delaplane is perfect for the weekend. It has beautiful views, and we might stop at RdV Vineyards to pick a wine for Open that Bottle of Virginia Wine Day on Saturday. –Amy Ayres, editor
Secret Garden
King & Rye has officially reopened their seasonal cocktail garden, a nice little courtyard with a lot of greenery. While their name implies strong spirits on the menu (and there are!) the vibe probably works best with their zippy cocktails–the Cherry NY Sour, with cherry preserves, looks promising.–James Finley, senior editor
