The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread
When I worked on this story in which I chose five of my favorite Reubens around Northern Virginia, I realized that it’s impossible to tire of the sandwich. I haven’t had a chance to eat one since. Guess what? It’s past time. I’m not sure whether I’ll head to one of the restaurants I featured or branch out and try a new Reuben purveyor, but either way, you can bet this week will involve cured meat on rye. –Alice Levitt, food editor/critic
Snow Day
With another impending snow storm hitting the region this weekend, it’s the perfect time for a day in the snow. When I was a kid, I would spend all day sledding down our hill, making snowmen and playing outside with my pups, and after all of the snow this month, I have been getting the urge for a play day. I even bought a new sled. So if you see me on my lunch break at one of these hills, just know it was a long time coming. –Michele Kettner, associate digital & research editor
Winter Getaway
A change of scenery, especially in winter when outside time is less easy, is what I’ve (what we’ve all) been craving. Our writer rounded up some of the coolest Airbnbs in the region. I’m hoping to take my ongoing WFH situation to one of these cute destinations soon. The only question is: Do I want a cabin in the woods, a yurt or a yacht? –Katie Bianco, editor
