Nationals Park will transform into a Topgolf venue next month

Whether you prefer a golf swing, or a baseball swing, this four-day event is bringing the two sports closer together.

So, you’re a Nats fan? Of course you are—you live in the DC Metro area, after all. We’ll assume you like golf, too, and go ahead and tell you that this August, sports entertainment and golf venue Topgolf will be taking over Nationals Park.

From Aug. 22 to 25, while the Nationals are competing on the road, Topgolf, which has venue locations in Alexandria and Ashburn, will turn the baseball field into a gigantic driving range for an event called Topgolf Crush.

Participants will be able to drive balls from the third baseline into large targets on the field, and, after dark, the targets will glow with colored lights.

Topgolf Crush will also have amenities similar to those found at Topgolf facilities, including tracking the flight path of golf balls and interactive games for competing with friends. There will also be private bays available for group events.

For those who don’t want to golf, you can still attend the event with a Festival Ticket, which gives you entry into the park, access to purchase Nationals Park concessions and beverages and access to the Crush Zone, which will have activities for all ages.

Tickets are on sale now, and range from $50 to $110. VIP tickets include food, drink tickets and access to a hospitality area. For more information, visit mlb.com/nationals/tickets/specials/topgolf.
