Looking to add a new, special touch to your home? The Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival is showcasing 200 artists’ work at its 28th annual event. Artists from the U.S. and Canada will exhibit their pieces to an expected crowd of 30,000 people from May 17 to 19.
Held at the Reston Town Center, patrons can browse ceramics, fibers and textiles, glasswork, photography, sculptures, jewelry and more. The event will also feature a Family Art Park, with free, family-friendly art activities, as well as two performances of Heidi Latsky’s movement installation, which will be held on Sunday, May 19.
Jurors selected by the Greater Reston Arts Center were the ones who chose the artists to present their works at the festival. These jurors (Nehemiah Dixon III, Lauren Hilyard and Laura Roulet) will be on site during the event to select 10 artists to receive an Artist Award of Excellence. The winners will be announced at the Festival Party on Saturday, May 18.
