Baseball season is back, and the Fredericksburg Nationals are heating up the Carolina League. If you plan on catching a game this season, the FredNats are hosting nine theme nights.
During these Saturday games, the team ditches the red, white, and blue jerseys for a uniform that matches the theme. This season, there are six new and three returning themes.
Six New Themes
The six new theme nights kick off with Casino Night on April 18, which includes postgame fireworks. In June, the team will host Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle night (June 6) and Toy Story night (June 27).
To celebrate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles night, the team will be giving away themed jerseys inspired by the beloved kids show to the first 1,000 fans. For Toy Story Night, fans can get their hands on the special game-worn jerseys in a postgame auction that benefits the Sunshine Baseball League.
On July 18, for Backyard Baseball Night — inspired by the video game — players will be wearing purple and green jerseys that reminisce the Crazy Melonheads team. On July 25, Virginia Credit Union Stadium (aka the Mojo Dojo Casa House) transforms into Barbie’s Dreamhouse for Barbie Game Day.
Break out your most colorful outfits for the final theme night of the year on September 5. The team will be hosting Crayola Night along with Cancer Awareness Night. The game-worn jerseys will be auctioned after the game, with the proceeds going to the Mary Washington Healthcare Foundation.

Returning Favorites
Three other themes will return this season. They include Star Wars (May 16), In Our Baseball Era (June 20), and Harry Potter (August 8). The jerseys worn by the team for the Star Wars and Harry Potter nights will be auctioned off after the game. The In Our Baseball Era game, inspired by Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, will conclude with postgame fireworks.
Tickets to the FredNats start at $10 on most nights and are $2 for Tuesday home games. 42 Jackie Robinson Way, Fredericksburg
